London Fashion Week is in full swing, and we’re immersing ourselves in the very best of British. This morning we showed you what Alison Elwin, Fashion Editor and Celebrity Stylist has inside her handbag, and now she’s taking you on quite possibly the most stylish tour of London you’ll ever experience…
For laid-back eating… “Making me fall back in love with Soho, is Spuntino on Rupert Street. The pulled pork and apple sliders are my guilty pleasure, they make the inevitable wait in the always present queue well worth it.”
For a limited edition drink… “The 10 Cases does exactly that, It stocks only 10 cases of each wine before changing the wine list. It’s intimacy reminds me of Le Timbre in paris, and for this I love it even more.”
For your shopping needs… “It maybe rather obvious but I love the grandeur and eccentricity of Liberty. The fact it stocks Antipodium, one of my favourite brands is a bonus; Margaret Howell for her paired down chic clothing and incredibly tranquil shopping experience at the Wigmore Street store, W1 and Erickson Beamon for statement jewellery.”
For the ultimate place to be seen… “Dean Street Town House. I love the hustle and bustle here on a Friday night. People watching a plenty.”
For that little bit of quiet… “I chose Devon. I’m still trying to find an equivalent in London, but it’s rare to find somewhere that you don’t bump into someone you know, so this remains my ultimate fashion detox destination.”
For all your creative needs… “Tavy Textiles in Cullompton has the most amazing array of assorted zips in any colour and size you need. Ok, it maybe a bit much to travel all the way to Devon for a zip, but for such a small place I wonder who an earth buys them there other than me.”
