Paris Fashion Week has only just begun, and we’re already lusting over what is undeniably going to be one big week of Parisian chic. Today we showed you what’s in the handbag of hair stylist to the stars Lyndell Mansfield, now we’re letting her take you on a tour of some of the most fantastic places this stylish city has to offer…

For a local vibe…

“La Fidelite is an old bistro that looks a little shabby, but is actually quite hip! It has a great local vibe and the food is fab. It almost feels like you’re in on a secret when you dine there, casual and cool, I love this place.”

For one-stop shopping…

“Kiliwatch is my favourite store in Paris. The whole Etienne Marcel area is a wondrous place to discover, but Kiliwatch is particularly great. When you first walk in you’re confronted with vintage finds, from books to belts they have everything, but the best part is they also stock regular things like branded jeans, or magazines, so it really is a one-stop shop.”

For something a little bit different…

“David Lynch’s, ‘Club Silencio’ is the place to go. I’m a huge David Lynch fan and this was inspired by the rather odd Club Silencio in Mulholland Drive. It’s a bar, restaurant and cinema all in one, their modern day cabaret shows are so clever, a mix of comedy with music and art, it’s fascinating. The club is members only until midnight, but you can go for a cocktail after midnight.”

For unwinding and relaxing…

“I can’t recommend Les Bains du Marais enough. A traditional turkish bath, loved by the local women, you know it’s going to be good. You can choose from an array of treatments, or just got for lunch and experience their amazing tea! It’s open late too, so perfect for popping in between or after shows, even for just half an hours, it’s a fantastic place.”

For heart attack by chocolate…

“It has to be Angelina – they quite literally have the best hot chocolate I have even tasted. It’s really thick, and they serve it in a delightful silver cup! I’m planning to take my assistant Angelina here for her Birthday!”

For the perfect day out…

I choose Palais de Tokyo. This place has incredible exhibitions, and views of the Eiffel Tower, but most importantly it houses the only remaining traditional black and white photo booth. I take everyone who comes to visit for a photo here, I have hundreds, my most precious being of my parents from over 5 years ago.”
